A very pleasant experience dealing with a non emergency medical situation at this venue. My regular (surgery) drs weren't able to see me / do stitches and suggested Urgent Care.Reception staff 10/10.RN 10/10.Dr Rynn 10/10.Reasonable wait times and price.Clean and spacious. Thank you.

Receptionist staff are friendly and sweet, been a few times and never had a problem. A special thanks toDrs at urgent care and Dr Karingala as well for seeing my baby when my original doctor refused to see bub due to having cold symptoms even though bub tested negative to Covid. I saw another doctor before this clinic and they stated my bubs cold was “viral” I questioned them as I work in healthcare myself and they refused to write a script for antibiotics (even though it was going on for 18 weeks!). One visit to Saint John’s urgent care and I finally get heard! I got antibiotics for my Bub and guess what all better! The fact that these doctors actually listened to me, first go is a breath of fresh air and I can whole heartedly say that if you visit this clinic, you are going to receive the best care!

My partner had a dog bite and before arriving at urgent care we called to make sure that they were able to treat all dog bites. They asked questions and were well aware of the severity of this dog bite and that it would need to be cleaned and most likely stitched. They told us that they could do it and to come down. Our first uneasy experience was when the nurse came out and repeatedly called out a name with no response from the waiting room. She then asked my partner “what’s your name” and then said “yeh that’s the name I meant” (it was nothing like my partner’s name). We then waited another 30 minutes inside the urgent care and the nurse eventually asked if my partner would like pain medicine which he responded yes. He never received this. We saw the dr for about 2 minutes and he was nice enough however we were then told that they don’t treat dog bites there and that we needed to go to the hospital. The nurse then said that she would find the hospitals with the least amount of wait times as my partner has other health complications and the likelihood of infection was increasing. She never did this either. $105 later we received no medication and waited overall an hour only to be told that they couldn’t help us after originally telling us they could. We feel the lack of service and information provided was very frustrating and concerning. Big waste of time and won’t be going back.

Do not bring sick babies here, zero empathy, no monitoring initiated and poor communication and no system to prioritise patients. We arrived with a sick baby with high temperature (nearly 40) and waited 3 hours to see a doctor. I don't understand why you triage and then put people back into a cue. Doctor had zero urgency, swanning about eating snacks and taking personal phone call just as we got to our turn" despite crying baby and distressed parents getting to end of tether. Many people allocated to the other doctor in and out within the hour. Total joke. We asked if we should just go to the hospital instead but kept getting told not long now... another 2 hours went past. We had to ask for temperature to get rechecked. Nursing staff did the best they could given the situation. Doctor also didn't even bother looking up file as he asked if baby was a girl

Absolutely no help from the doctor who said I had gastro even after two weeks. A stool sample would have shown that I had food poisoning. A condescending talk about self care and poke of the stomach doesn't warrant $80.

I am back from there and had worst experience in clinic. Staffs are very unkind especially receiptionist. My son is unsder his dad's medicare card. But, I need to pay for it and get medicare rebate. Receptionist was not well trained so I told her how other hospital work with this issue. She just told me she will not do it and let me apply medicare rebate by myself. I am not already with my husband. I don't want to ask him help. I told her just insert my information and put my bank account no. She ignored and let me solve it. And didn't say sorry sth. I feel She is really in a high-handed manner. I never recommend this place ever.

I had the most terrible experience I ever had in this place a few months ago. I booked an app online, the website stated it would be bulked billed. I get there with my daughter, the lady at the front desk was like omg. How can someone be so rude and work at front desk and in a health care provider. She said to me I have to pay, I said but the website said bulked billed. she said no you need to pay, I said okay just cancel the app then. She said, okay we will bulk bill it then. We saw a terrible doctor, arrogant, did not care at all, got us out of his room within 3 minutes. My daughter had been running a temp for 6 days. Told me to keep an eye on her and to go back if persistent within 4 more days, not like he asked me about fluids, toilet output, nothing. Okay we get in the car got home. The lady at the front desk calling me. Telling me I did not pay and the doctor refused to bill bill, asking me I must give my credit card details over the phone. I don’t have a credit card, I said send me the invoice and I’ll pay. No, you have to come back. I said I can’t. I asked send me the invoice and I’ll pay. She was silent, and then told me I’ll talk to the doctor and call you back. She then calls me back, it’s all good the doctor is going to bulk bill. I don’t understand, were they trying to double bill or what. Sorry I don’t trust this place at all.

I attended St John Urgent Care in Cannington today due to a knee sporting injury that occurred late evening yesterday. I spent the night in excruciating pain and decided instead of waiting until Monday to see a physio/get an MRI I thought it would be best to retrieve urgent care due to the level of pain I was experiencing.I know for a fact that my injury is ACL/ligament related due to the nature of the sport I have played for 15+ years (netball) and had no other concerns whatsoever. When I attended the staff were friendly, however, my doctor BARELY completed any sort of assessment on my knee. The doctor asked me if I could walk to which I advised not only can I not walk, but I cannot bear ANY weight and I cannot bend or move my knee in ANY manner. He asked no further questions and then “examined” my knee by touching it in 3 different places asking me if it was sore to which I said yes to all 3, then he finished his “examination” and told me he is sending me to get an X-Ray.Although I had no concerns regarding my knee being dislocated/broken/fractured I understood that this was a step taken to rule out the possibility and happily proceeded. After finishing my X-Ray, my doctor told me that my knee looks great and that I just need to rest and I should come back in 1 week if it still hurts………..I was so unbelievably upset by this feedback because not only had I assumed he was going to do a further, more in depth assessment as well as a possible MRI (or even give me a referral!) to identify ligament/ACL damage but I had also been experiencing excruciating pain in my knee since my injury occurring and absolutely NO remedies were offered whatsoever.I consider this extreme negligence as I attended a second hospital to receive a proper assessment and care and found that I ruptured my ACL as well as tore my MCL and have to have surgery.

I really want to give special thanks to the team here. Danika and the ladies at reception have been really caring through my injury and really took time to take care of me and were really kind and sympathetic. In these times where these guys are overloaded and I’m sure some patients are not so kind at times so I want to make sure these professionals are given the credit they deserve. I was so sick from my injury and they made me feel like they really cared. It’s all been very professional, confirmation texts sent and there’s always a smile. They’ve sent off all my papers for me, saving me a lot of hassle too. Was a surprise from an “urgent care” clinic. The waiting room is modern clean and neat and the bathrooms sparkling. I know this is not every thing in a doctors office but when you’re sick, the security of a good place to wait and good facilities do make you feel more secure.
